APRIL FOOL

Okay ladies and gents today's blog consists of a contest. It's MY birthday but I am sending a gift to the person with the BEST reason they should get a present. The present is one of my 'granny's charm bracelets'. If you don't know what it is just ask Trash or go see my friend Teresa Starnes at Marburger, TENT B, if you'd like to see one up close and personal.

This contest is totally subjective and is NOT open to any relatives (known or unknown), Jane Doe Evans and Patsy-the-Guest-Boozer.

This time last year I was at Marburger buying Magnolia Pearl, kicking it up at Warrenton and, the coup de grace, meeting the FIRE CHIEF of COLUMBUS, TX and sliding down the fire pole (don't go there people).

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE....lulu, PartyGirl-of-One! Let the b.s'ing begin!

Okay, I REALLY deserve to win this because....I work damn hard every day! I work for an overbearing ass of an attorney and I basically run his practice for him, because he would rather not have to fool with it. Therefore, practicing law without a license comes to mind! I am also a WIFE and MOTHER and with that comes much wisdom and super powers as I see things that no one else can see! Shoes and clothes in the floor, dishes in bedrooms, pinecones, limbs, debris in the yard. I clean all that up too! Plus the fact that I have three cats that totally depend on me for poop scooping and food! (No one sees that either.) I also cater to my friends who need rooms rearranged, flower arrangements made, etc. etc. The list goes on and on! And the last, but saddest thing is my birthday was February 21st and I didn't get anything! Does that suck or what????
So, yeah, I DESERVE a present!

Happy Birthday to you and I hope it is a great one!!

Hi Lulu , I was going to tell you why I should be a winner but then I read Lou Cinda's post. She should win! A birthday without presents is like Marburger without Lulu. Its just not right!

Well, Happy Birthday again! (This is my 2nd Happy Birthday wish to you. Number 1 reason I should win.)

I real enjoyed the guest blogger yesterday. No, I don't believe that she had been hitting the bottle. I was even gracious to the drunk and left a comment. I believe the only comment! (Number 2reason I should win.)

I can't believe that you are 28 this year! I swear you do not look a mini-moment over 23! Look at the pole dancer picture...perky breasts, firm thighs, flat belly. (Number 3 reason goes without saying.)

I did not take a butter pat to Laurie on Sunday. (Number 4 reason that I should win.)

I have not told a single soul that the Warrenton police department issued a restraining order against you setting foot at the Junk Gypsy Prom this year! I just played along with your pathetic excuse that you decided not to go! (Number 5 reason that I should win.)

I did not post the photo of the event which prompted the restraining order. (Number 6 reason that I should win.)

I never turned you in to the FBI during the heinous, brutal baby head saga which happened during the 124 days of Christmas this year! (Number 7 reason I should win.)

My husband, Lurch, just had heart bypass surgery and this tired nurse could use that charm bracelet to shake and jingle so I could wake his sweet sleeping ass up to take his meds. (Number 8 reason I should win.)

I have a chance to win something because Trash Talk is out of the loop right now! (Number 9 reason I should win.)

I am old and you should take pity on me. Not as old as Laurie...but old. (Okay...numbers 10, 11 and 12 that I should win!)

Gosh, I wish that I had posted this before I read Lou Cinda's comment so I wouldn't feel so bad about trying to win!

Happy birthday!

I can't compete with the others. I got nothing. Of course, that alone should make me a winner!

Lonely out there in blogland without all those temp residents of Warrenton, isn't it?

I clearly can't compete here.
I mean, I don't have a story or anything.
Well, that's not true.

Get a margarita in me and I could probably spin a yarn that would make you hand over your entire inventory. And you'd probably just think I was making it up because it rivaled that little soap opera from the 80s, you know the one - Dallas. But darlin, I'm from Texas. We don't DO small drama here.

But I'm sober at this moment, so I'm not going to get into all that right now.

I just had this idea that perhaps a piece of Lulu's special jewelry might change my life.
That's all.
:)

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, lulu!!!

Why should I win? Well, hellllloooo??? I'm Mindy. Perhaps you are unaware. But, Mindy wins everything!

Why? Because I have not been bestowed in life with a wonderful husband who pays all the bills. I have never been married, and I work hard for a living and I pay all my own bills! And, well, crud, if the current political structure has it's way, I'll be paying everyone else's bills, too!

I have no children to pass on all the family heirlooms to. Who is going to go through my drawers when I pass on?

I adopt every cat that comes by and sprays my truck tires. I have no mice, but the vet bills are a killer.

I didn't get to buy every single thing at Zapp that I wanted to.

SO. Because of the aforementioned things. lulu. I NEED me that jingly little bracelet! When it comes, I swear I will call you and sing happy birthday with the jingles as my background. ~Mindy

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Well I gotta say that while I really feel for Lou Cinda and Malisa's post made me die laughing...Moi should win because while I have been here working my arse off all my ex's have been in Texas! Well all but you and me! I have never been to
Uncommon Objects, never sat at the Bubble Lounge, never ate at Royers, never walked the fields or tried on everything at Magnolia Pearl, never held a pillow made by Carolyn Westbrook or drooled over Peg and John's booth not to mention meeting some of the finest people on the planet like Debbie and Theresa and Lord Forbid I never got to dress up and go to the Prom! Oh yeah and ALL your bracelets are beautiful. So Happy Birthday Lulu. Miss you, see ya soon. Much Love,Pat

Okay, these were all so funny! I am now glad my husband and sons did not get me anything for my birthday, since that was the deciding factor here. I will add, there has been HELL to pay since 2/21. I bet I get Mega Tons O Stuff next year!

I am so excited!!
