My crack (head) addiction........

This is what I saw when I opened the box!!!!!!!!!! As most who know me know, I have had an addiction to babyheads for quite sometime, yes and butter pats. It all started back with TOT and her heads and then the illusive Chris Brown and there it went......So my friend Sharon at Sweet Repose pretty much knows every time she puts some cute little cracked head on her blog......she's gonna get an email from me. I think shes got the mailman on speed dial. And she must have promised him some favors this time cause I just asked for this last Thursday and here it is today.......Wow, wish I had a mailman like that........ Anyway if you have ever gotten a package from Miss sweet Sharon you would know it ain't going to have just a babyhead in it...... it usually includes lots of other goodies too, and this time was no exception. I did ask for a few soaps because they are 2die4, but she out did herself and sent the motherload. You just don't know what you are missing till you try this glycerine soap, IT IS THE BEST. And she has this Rose one that is amazing, haven't had it before, new favorite. And there's a peach one, love it!!!! She even sent a manly one for Q, (fat chance of him getting it.) He doesn't even use soap........

Well, I hope you all go over to her blog and buy some, cause you are going to love it. And tell her I sent you so she'll keep the crack heads coming.......Cheers, Lauri

The Illusive butter pat.........

I know that you have all been missing me talking about butter pats for a while, believe me I am still in love with them, and I think of them everyday, but today I decided to show you some pictures of some of the stamps on them. How beautiful are the little English stamps they put, on these things. So simple and sweet, I just love them. I think I will turn some of them I have hanging, around and just look at the stamps for a while. I know that every time I go to the Texas shows I am always so taken with Janet Romines' (Rubbish and Co.) displays of her ironstone as she always has the ironstone turned so you cans see the beautiful stamps. Now if you have some wonderful stamps on some ironstone or butter pats, let me see them, I just love to look at them, or better yet, send those to me and let me inspect them for you and make sure they are original.........Cheers, Lauri

AMAZING!!!!!!!

No strings, no walker, look no hands.........I was amazed yesterday when I visited mother and saw her walking with the therapist, with no walker just them beside her. They have been working with her for about 5 weeks and I am just amazed, what they have done with her. It is truly a blessing....... A thankful me, Lauri

The Invitation.......

Today I woke up and realized it is 3 months and 12 days until the wedding.........Eeeeekkkkkkk, that scared the crap out of me, not because things are not getting done but, because it seems like just the other day I had a year to plan.......anyway I decided to show you some of the things that we have done, and see what you think......And can I tell you how much fun this is, I am having a ball!!!!! These are the invitations, yes, they are all done, and just need to be assembled and mailed. I love them, Katie and I did these ourselves and we are so proud of them. We have a wonderful store here in Buford called Archivers, and it sells all the things you need to put these beauties together. They are the most wonderful bronze and papaya (or terra cotta as we call it). The printing is all in brown and we embossed everything in terra cotta. We lined the envelopes and this is how they look when you open it........
I love the photo stamps you can get now from zazzles or stamps.com they are just to die for!!!! We also made a trip this weekend to the gift show at the Mart, and found flowers and the most wonderful iron pieces for the reception. Here are flowers we found for the bouquet........

Gerbera daisies one of my favorites......
Of course, sunflowers will be centerpieces on the tables and everywhere........
And look at the fabulous iron pumkins we found with candle holders they are from 14 inches tall and smaller......

Can you believe we found this darling carriage??? I love it!!!!!
This lantern was exactly what I wanted for some of the tables. How gorgeous is that?? It is about 28 inches tall and I will put bittersweet and leaves around it. Love It!!!!!!
Could not resist these great fall candle holder wreaths with all the berries and pine cones. It is all coming together so great. Let me know what you think. Cheers, Lauri

Happy 4th of July!!!!!

Today was a great day in Cumming, Georgia, the weather was amazing and not as hot as it has been in the past weeks, for the annual Steam Engine Parade in our town. My son is always up for this as he loves operating the heavy machinery. I am always a little skiddish as they are so big and heavy and a bit dangerous. But, these wonderful old bits of history are always a joy to see operated and a bit nostalgic..........here is my angel boy getting ready for the start..........

Here are Adam, Katie and his boss Buddy, with his friend Rhonda. Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th, we are off to the pool!!!!!!!!!! Lauri
