FLAG DAY...LET' EM FLY

These banners are not only old, but also 2 and 3 stories tall! My friend, James, sold them to moi when we were at Scott's on Thursday. The banner with the circle of stars was used to celebrate the sesquecentennial (say that 10x after a few).

We bought a bunch a fun stuff from Dave & Rosemary of U Pick'Em. They are purveyors of the finest kind of junk we love. They are troopers...a tornado took the roof off of their house last week. You'd never know that had water pouring into their house for two days straight. They were just as personable and easy-going as always.










Peg and John VanDyne of "FRENCH VANILLA" fame set up at Scott's each month. They get to be inside staying relatively cool. Of course how can you not be cool surrounded by such soothing ivories, whites and creams. They never cease to amaze us with their unusual and wonderful pieces.

I do apologize for the slightly wacky photo placements. I don't have my new laptop YET & am suffering along on Adorable Husband's and his blog navigator.

Geez...are those the dealers we wanted to highlight, Lauri? I could've sworn we saw another friend (victim). Oh yes...I remember now: LEFTOVERS from Brenham, TX
Oh wait...something's going kurflunky on this computer. I am going to have to shut her down and do some repair work...so so sorry.

Did Anyone EVEN Miss Me?

So, I see how it is out there in Blogistan. We have two people in this little blog marriage but has no one even bothered to ask....Where is lulu? Why hasn't she blogged? Well I'll tell ya why...laptop hell...pains-of-ne'er-divulged origins in lulu-bod. Thankfully new laptop cometh. The pains were relieved w/big needles. The love-fest of the BOY/birthday-pool party is over. I'm baaaaack.

Yesterday we went to Scott's Antique Market (a quiet place...right under the flight path of all the Delta jets) & bought from some our favorite dealers. This weekend we'll be highlighting them. Since I took all the photos I am purposely making Lauri wait for the piece on one dealer in particular. He hails from Texas, and I need to get some 'advice' from 'professionals' & law enforcement before I actually blog. For his safety I am willing to have a 'monitoring device' put on her person so I am checking into STALKING LAWS in Georgia. If she crosses the stateline when the show is over does the FBI get involved? The Chipstress keeps me very busy.

Junkin........

Well, today I decided to try my hand at some Lulu inspired junk necklaces.......Well, what do you think?  They are kind of wacky like me.  So I thought they would fit right in..... I don't propose to be good at this just trying to fulfill a need to re- purpose.  I made one for Lulu, of course hers has a fireman's badge on it......She loves a man in a uniform....Cheers, Lauri

Party Time!!!!

Well, its party time, Saturday we had a cookout for Adam's birthday at the pool.  Here is a photo of Adam with all the girls!  (His favorite place to be!)  Since we bought this house in '94 we have had a pool party for his birthday every year.  And it seems like every year it gets more and more fun.  Believe it or not some of the friends that came have been every time and they are all still great friends.........And I think this is what fun looks like.  Oh, to be 23 again....... On second thought I don't have the energy.  

Lulu and Dr. feel good came and here is a picture of her going down the slide, but she was going so fast this is all I got............ Could have had something to do with the GandT as well, I don't remember........And I would also like to add that she did not wait 30 minutes after she ate to swim......Living on the edge Lulu............. Happy Birthday Adam!!!!

 

Isn't he adorable.....Or as my friend Suzanne says "Smokin' Hot".....Yesterday was my sons birthday, he was 23........but, you see every time I look at him I see him 3 years old holding a lizard.........truly the love of my life.....He is with his friend Katie, she's cute too, kinda like Barbie and Ken......don't you think.  Anyway thanks for indulging me....... Well, I guess we are all sweltering down here in Georgia from the heat, because this is what happened today out at the pool.  Those silly baby heads.  Once I looked and they were headed down the slide...................

Today when I looked out the kitchen window, this is what I saw.  The little neighborhood stray was lounging out by the pool.......Oh how I would love to be a cat........
