Adam and Katie's Nursery.........

Oh my gosh ya'll today I helped Adam and Katie put this adorable decal on the walls of their nursery.......Isn't it just the cutest thing you have ever seen???? I love it. I ordered it off of etsy, I love that site......a few weeks ago Adam and I painted this room an avocado green, and waited for the decal to arrive. I think it is perfect......Adam is such an outdoor kind of guy, the animal and woods theme is just perfect for the baby. And I had a ball helping him.......I am still working on the bedding, as all the fabric is not here yet, so stay tuned for that. Cheers, lauri

Doug and Renee, True Texans

My sweet friend Theresa Cano called me today to tell me that Doug had passed away this afternoon. Doug and Renee were some of the first people I met when I went to Texas for the first time and I have felt like they were part of my family ever since. There is just something about Texans that is just so true and real and fun! Renee was always there decorating something and there would be Doug working like a Trojan, never stopping even to talk.......He was so much fun I remember, riding his bicycle around the fields. I will always remember him, and how well Renee took care of him. I consider them some of my best friends. Rest in Peace my friend, lauri

Grain Sac Pillows

I am in love with these wonderful grain sacs I got from a guy at Lakewood. They are this heavy flax fabric that is just fabulous, so I took some home and stenciled them. I love the way they look.............. And I am happy to say that no one bought the french fabric table skirt so, you know what that means I get to keep it. Here it is in my living room. I love the beach...........

I'm enjoying some much needed beach time this weekend..........It has been a couple of years since we have made it to the beach.......so when my husband said, "we should go to the beach this weekend", I said okay. And you know what that means, he goes to the fishing pier and I go shopping!!!!! This is a good thing..........

A Well Loved Home, Sue Richardson

OMG ya'll, look at these fabulous slips I did for a sweet lady in Alabama. I just love how they turned out. Sue is a designer in Tuscaloosa, whom I met last month at Lakewood 400. Well, she is just so sweet and asked me to make her some slips for her chairs, you just have to go over to her blog and see how she changed the look of her dining room with these slips. Love it!!!!!! I love to paint...........and Sam

I do love to paint, we live in a ranch style house, I love it, but it has this useless room, the foyer..........I decided to paint it......I liked that part, the part I didn't like was stripping three layers of wallpaper. I guess that is why I have put this chore off forever. But, now I love it......and my Craig Smith table looks fabulous in there, just like I knew it would...........

And look at this adorable lamp I got from AliCe and JaY, in Texas.......It is the cutest......and heavy.And the newest addition around here is this little mad man, Sam as in the Cat in the Hat.......he is a wild man. Just showed up one day sitting on the eight foot slide at the pool, I call him the pool cat. But, what fun is he, I think he was a gift from heaven, he is so sweet, but very mischievous, and just how did that plant get on the floor?????? cheers, lauri

One of a Kind Market Day
