A Limb Fallen
A limb has fallen from the family tree,
I keep hearing a voice that says "Grieve Not for Me".
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song,
The good life I lived while I was still strong.
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you,
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest,
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small,
Go on with your life, don't just stare at the wall.
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin,
Until the day comes we're all together again.

Oh sweet Lauri, I'm crying with you. Not an easy task I'm sure, but I'm here my friend, truly, call if you need anything or nothing, I'm still here!!
Lauri,
You are in my thoughts and my prayers. May God comfort you during this time of sorrow.
If you need anything, just let me know.
I had never read that. What beautiful words. After reading TOT's post Thursday, I've had you in my thoughts and prayers. Love your way, Lauri. ~Mindy
Sending up a prayer for your healing.
I am sorry for the loss of your mom.
Take care of yourself now, your mother is at peace. Time to find your own peace. Your life is a testament to her own life. Praying for you. Pam
I am so sorry for your loss... I am very close to my mom, too, and have lived an ocean away from her for the last 17 years; that is painful enough...!!! May you find peace in your heart during this difficult time!

The words I want to say are just not coming the way I want them to. Laurie, I wanted to find just the right thing to say to give you some comfort, but for once I just can't find them. My heart aches for yours. I lost my mother 10 years ago and while it does get easier, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss her. I guess what they say is true, we hurt because it's a reminder of how much we were loved and how much we loved. You were a blessed woman to have had such a wonderful mama to have raised someone as special as you. I love you and I'm sending you prayers, kisses and hugs.
Debbie
Oh, I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. One can never have too many prayers.

I also lost my mom this week, Nov 16th. May God bless you & your family. What a wonderful poem. I will read it at my mom's celebration of life : )
So sorry for your loss Laurie. There is no one in life that knows us so well or long as mom. I hope there is much love, comfort, and grace surrounding you in this time.
Hugs, and prayers,
Gerri
Very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. My mother passed on in 2006 and nothing seems the same since then. But I think of her everytime I have a cup of tea, because that was her favorite thing to do. Your siblings can really help you thru this tough time. My thoughts & prayers are with you.
